Thank you so much for your interest in my work. I am a natural light photographer servicing Panama City Beach and surrounding areas. I love working with light, natural & organic materials and textures to create portraits that are timeless. Newborn sessions are done in studio or in your home.
So, let’s talk about what you can expect with this session.
If you have had your little one, you should know the best time to schedule newborn sessions is within two weeks of birth. Why is this important? Babies are sleeping most of the time during this time, they are flexible and safe for those precious little “froggy” poses and they have not started molting (peeling of skin). Is your baby older than 14 days, no worries we can always capture those precious moments, we just may not be able to do certain poses depending on baby and there will more than likely be peeling skin that some parents don’t care for. Rest assured, it’s completely normal.
Every session tells a story, captures emotions & is a work of art. I strive to capture those timeless moments that my clients will want to remember always. I do a mixture of poses on props, with bean bag and with parent(s) and sometimes siblings if desired.
You will always be scheduled with me, Jan Wilson. I have an assistant and second photographer, my daughter Breanna that will be helping me to assure baby safety and aid with lighting reflectors and posing when needed. We have everything covered. This is a time for you to rest and let us work our magic. The session can take from 1-3 hours depending on baby, so take advantage of this time to rest & relax the first month can be a real adjustment for all.
I am building a tribe of loyal and happy customers that want to come back to me every time for every occasion. I don’t rush sessions or put time limits on our creativity.
I am very relaxed and like to follow the vibes of my newborns. No baby is the same, so no two sessions are the same. We will work around the baby. I advise each of my potential client to check out my galleries and make sure you like what you see, because that is what you will get.
Every photographer has their own style of photographing and editing and it’s important that you like mine. Also, if you don’t know your style, Pinterest is a wonderful way to check out different photography styles and poses. I encourage and welcome any insight that will make your session everything that you want it to be. Most of all I want you to be happy with your experience with me and for you to be happy with your newborn portraits.
A good way to assure that is to consider how your home is already decorated or to keep the session neutral and timeless so that your portraits will look fabulous displayed for all to see. We will be planning your session and tailoring it specifically to your desires and we will be choosing colors, textures and props.

Package Includes
Included with this session is the time and talent of your photographer. The time goes hours beyond the hour(s) you are with your photographer. It takes hours to prepare your portraits to the wonderful timeless portraits you will receive in your personal, private, password protected online gallery.
Once your portraits are fully and professionally edited to perfection they will be uploaded into your online gallery for you to digitally download. There’s no more waiting for a USB or CD to come in the mail. You will have instant access. You will be able to share your gallery with family and friends. You will be able to mark certain portraits private if you choose. Please note, there will be only one digital download included in your session fee.
Your family and friends can order prints from your gallery if you choose to share the gallery. Professional printing is advised and available through Jan Wilson Photography for you or your family and friends. You will receive a print release that will allow you to print up to 8x10. Larger sizes available for printing through one of the leading professional labs in the country.

When will my portraits be available? That’s very important to know! I will tell every client that it “could” take up to two weeks. However, I know that I wouldn’t want to wait two weeks and try to get your gallery to you as soon as possible, sometimes within 48 hours depending on the number of edits needed.
Will I get EVERY portrait taken? The simple answer is no. As a professional photographer, I only want the best portraits out there representing me and my work. If the image is blurred or otherwise flawed you will not see it and wouldn’t want to.
